Olde English Style Continental Pheasant Throw

The Plantation Gun Club invites you to come and enjoy an Olde English Style Continental Pheasant Throw.

Hunters will circle the field, each at a shooting position. When all hunters are in place a horn will sound and the action begins with hard flying birds being released. All hunters will shoot every shooting position, which will allow each hunter to experience the “Kings Spot,” or the position the birds are favoring during the throw.

Retrievers and dog handlers will be on hand to assist in locating and retrieval of downed birds, but each hunter is welcome and encouraged to bring his/her own dog.

Check-in begins at 8 am. The hunt will start at 9:30 am. Refreshments will be served during registration.

All birds will be cleaned and packaged shortly after the hunt so that everyone wil be able to take equal amounts of the harvest with them.

After the hunt is over, you can sit back and relax with a wonderful southern-cooked meal.

A professional, traditional hunt, unlike any you will experience in the southeast. A great way to enjoy the outdoors. It is also a wonderful way to introduce new or young hunters to the wingshooting experience.
